As a mompreneur, your best enemies are time, energy, and motivation, right?
You know what? You are NOT ALONE!! Alexia and I, Adeline, share the very same enemies!
Our core values at French Creators are:
- Community
- Support
- Empower
We support generally French-speaking creators who are small business owners and most particularly women-owned businesses.
So yes, we know what it is to deal with daily domestic duties, family schedules AND your business.
We also deal with these days when everything goes well and these days when everything turns into a nightmare.
And by supporting you, we mean sharing our experiences and expertise.
We hope the 4 following tips will help!
#1 – Planners are the key
I have a visual memory so it helps me to write down everything. I used to plan everything on my phone calendar but it soon became messy!!
My advice is to have two separate planners: one for your family, and one for your business.
Benefits
It decreases my mental load and helps me focus. I am sure you will gain in productivity there!
#2 – Delegate
Delegate to your partner and/or children whenever possible. You can’t do everything you did before running your own business anymore.
You just have to be realistic!
When I started working, I had to adapt first, but I quickly realized that I needed the support of my family to do everything.
But hey! do not blame yourself if your house is not clean as it was before.
#3 – Step by Step
Step down and step back when you start feeling anxious, overwhelmed, tired.
I know how hard this advice is because I am learning each and every day to do it myself.
Wasting time today to gain time tomorrow.
This should be our motto!
#4 – Just for You…
And please, take time for yourself!
Go shopping, have lunch with your friends, go hiking or swimming, read the latest bestseller book, watch your favorite series…
Whatever you do for yourself, do it fully. It will drain your brain and prepare you for work!
It’s not that much but do you know what will help the most?
Sharing and discussing, supporting each other, and listening to one another.
We are stronger together.
Warm hugs to all working moms.
